everytime once in a while she barks at invisble things or walls. usually in my room.

i was wondering why the hell she does this and my other 2 dogs dont do this at all never did.

Ps- could it be a ghost or something? thats what i thought it was but idk.

Puppies that seem to be barking at "nothing" can simply be bored or frustrated ... it's something that peaks them for a variety of reasons even if you think they don't see or hear anything.

Establish the Reason for Puppy Barking

To help you determine why your puppy is barking, you will first need to evaluate the circumstances that surround the behavior. If your puppy is barking at you, he is most likely trying to get your attention. A puppy that is standing over an item such as a bone or a food bowl may be exhibiting guarding behavior. Puppies that seem to be barking at "nothing" can simply be bored or frustrated. Many puppies become anxious when left alone, either in a crate at night, or when the pet parent is away from home.

    Attention Seeking Barking

If your puppy is barking at you to get your attention, ignore her completely. Turn away from her, avoiding eye contact. Wait until the puppy stops barking, then give her the attention she is seeking. Be sure you do not speak to your puppy while she is barking at you. Do not give in if she continues to bark. Doing so will teach her that she will eventually get what she wants if she is persistent with the undesirable behavior.

    Guarding

Puppies will sometimes guard a treasured item or their territory. To discourage this type of barking, you may teach your puppy that there is no need to guard by teaching him to "trade" for something of equal or greater value, such as a yummy treat in exchange for the shoe he is protecting. This will show your puppy that giving up one thing can lead to getting something even better.

    Boredom

Making your puppy's environment more stimulating will usually resolve this type of barking. Giving him more exercise, rotating 4 or 5 different chew items and toys every few days, and feeding him from interactive dog toys instead of a bowl will keep him busy and quiet.

    Home Alone Barking

If your puppy is barking while you are not home, you may wish to set up a video camera, web cam or ask for neighbor's observation to help you figure out if your puppy is barking because he is anxious about being alone, bored, or if there is something in his environment that is disturbing him such as other dogs barking, noisy vehicles or construction going on near the home.

Keep your puppy inside when you cannot supervise him if he is barking at passersby or noises. If he is bored, enrich his environment and provide him with more interaction when you are home.

Sometimes puppies are frightened by being left alone. If this is the problem, you may wish to look into a puppy daycare or seek the help of a professional trainer who can instruct you about the protocols necessary to resolve separation anxiety.

Good luck with this but please don't be angry with your puppy. This is something dogs do ... especially puppies.

it quite is so humorous my canines did the comparable element. 2 weeks in the past we had an earthquake observed via aftershocks for numerous days/nights. My 9 month previous canines began strolling around the domicile barking and growling at no longer something. He became even doing this while he became mendacity in his crate. It freaked me out by way of fact i concept somebody became putting exterior of my domicile and he became attempting to warn me of a few hazard. His previous due night barking and growling at no longer something has stopped for the main section. Now while he does this that's for valid motives. to no longer scare you yet in line with possibility he's seeing some thing you could no longer see. Like a presence of a few type???? in line with possibility you have a dad or mum angel? desire you locate an answer on your question.

I'm doing basic obedience right now. My trainer hasn't once handled my dog. He has shown me how to handle my dog by using his own dog but that's about it. The reasoning is that I need to learn how to do these basic corrections and what not myself. Learn more https://tr.im/byqI8

I have never considered sending my dog away for training. I guess I haven't found that much of a problem with him to even think about it.

Again, it may also have to do with the level of training you are looking for etc. No idea lol. I'm not a trainer. I think a first time dog owner needs to learn simple commands and how to handle their dog themselves as well.

we think it's nothing, but it's obviously something. it could be something that excites her, or interests her. every blue moon, my older pup tends to bark at something that i can't see, feel, sense or understand. he doesn't just bark, either. he growls. that's how i know it's something that he doesn't like. dogs normally bark to warn us of danger/trespassers, if they're hurt or hungry, etc. if it's nothing that actually is hurting anyone, then i wouldn't worry about it. i have no clue what my pup is barking and growling at. and honestly, i don't want to know. it's scary, because he's a hound and has one of those deep barks, growls and yowls. other than that he's quiet. doesn't bark, nothing. it's weird. so i just distract him and calm him down.

I always wonder if my cats can see spirits. They move their heads as if they're watching something move but I can't see anything. It gets really creepy sometimes.
