Good, free, anti virus program?

I do not want anything that costs money, and I want something that works well. Any suggestions?

AVG is as good as it gets for free, as long as you keep it updated you should be fine. Go to their website where it is available legally.

Alternatively you could get AVG from a torrent which usually comes with a serial. There is one that will last till 2018 knocking about on either pirate bay of isohunt. Im sure you know it would be illegal to do this though.

    I've got two freebies:

    AVG Free (free.avg.com)

    Avira Antivir Personal (www.avira.com)

The website is below to download both of them. Also, get Advanced SystemCare Free from the site, too, for your basic registry cleaner and defrag needs. Hope this helps.

Microsoft Security Essentials. It's free, works well, and it's Microsoft's.

AVG and Avira are good, but Avast http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html uses about the least computer resources.
