I think that a bank employee stole my money when I paid it in cash? What can I do?
I paid in a cheque, and some cash, both at the same time, but only the cheque went through. The cash disappeared. The branch told me that the tills were right at the end of the day, there wasnt any money over which makes me think that the employee stole it? The complaints service from Barclays basically asked the branch the same thing I did, and then said they couldnt do anything. What can I do now? Can I go to the police?

You need someone who has authority and can speak on your behalf. Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB),
are very good at doing this. They will speak on the phone for you, or write letters for you to the right departments.
A solicitor who does pro bono (this is a free consultation) on a selected day in the week. CAB may suggest this to you and tell you who to contact, or they will. Then there's your local
Member of Parliament who will surely be of help here. They will advise or phone or write a letter, which usually gets a good response because its official and has some clout.
In the future when you deposit or draw out money with a bank ask for a receipted acknowledgement. This in your case would have probably never happened with the missing money.
If you persist with this, then the bank might capitulate and make good the cash as a gesture of goodwill.

Something wrong here. When you deposit anything at a UK bank you or the person has to fill out a white slip. This goes in their cash drawer with your money. Ask the bank to produce it. Where is your receipt?

Sounds like you are searching like I was not to long ago. I needed to pay some bills and generate some consistent income. Sure am glad I stumbled into this opportunity. A friend suggested I try it and it's made a huge difference in a short amount of time. Maybe it'll be right for you.
Good Luck

What did the deposit slip/your receipt say? If you go to the police that's the first thing they will ask you to produce.
You need clear proof that you deposited the cash before any further action can be taken.

If the bank staff can't help you, call the Policee. They can ask the bank to provide the surveillance video.

You can go to the police. It would show Barcleys you are serious about the claim
