getting rid of an unwanted line in a msword doc?
Have a manuscript with footnotes. On several pages the line break between text and footnotes goes across page (it shouldn't). When I click on the line the cursor automatically places itself in the text above the line. Any ideas on how to get rid of the line without damaging the text materal?

Put the cursor to the left of the first letter of the footnote. Press Backspace once.
