there is this greenhouse style food market (not open air) that's really big and famous and i forgot its name! someone help! i keep thinking its rue passy but thats open air right??

I think you are refering to Les Halles that was a huge glass covered market , and has now been replaced by large shopping and artistic complex and underground shopping mall called le Forum des Halles.

The original buildings have been demolished .
The wholesale market has been relocated to the suburbs of Rungis and La Villette.
