I have HP laptop I would like to change the operation system to Windows to Lynx?
I have HP Laptop runs with vista Ultimate edition, I don't like the program. I am not good on computers have only basic knowledge. My question is can I replace vista program and install Lynx program. The Laptop has built in camera too does it also work too. Do you recommend it. and where can I find lynx free program to download. I heard it is free.

There are a lot of variations of Linux, one of the popular ones is Ubuntu.
If you are a computer beginner there is no way you will enjoy the process of installing and learning Linux. Also some drivers are not compatible or do not exist for Ubuntu so often peripherals like webcams and audio cards can be a huge pain to get working.
I suggest upgrading to Windows 7, it is truly an awesome operating system, this is coming from a person that also hated Vista.

I assume you mean "Linux" not "Lynx"? Just burn the image you downloaded from a distro and then place into your CD drive and reboot. Etc. It's basic from there.

Windows is easier to use than Linux. If you have problems with Windows you'll have even more problems with Linux. (And the camera probably won't work.)

u can put Ubuntu on there with ur windows, & u will have a dual boot system>:)
