I need a good recommendation for a new Dishwasher?

My daughter has had a kitchen aid(e) for over 15 years and I have never seen a machine that does a better job, there might be better ones, but I am not aware of them. Once in a while she runs a cup of Tang (the orange drink powder) through it, and it sparkles, this was a hint that she read.
As far as doing them beforehand, you don't actually have to do them, but you should scrape them

I would suggest an Energy Star dishwasher & I have a Kenmore ultra wash 3 it's an old one.
