I have been volunteered to explain basket ball to my sons cubscout troop. I know a lot about it, but not sure how detailed I should get.

its just like your league of basketball incept its a little harder its really fun and u will love it when your in highschool

Get the ball, dribble it, pass it to the open man, shoot the ball into the basket.
Now get the ball back from the other team or stop them from scoring.

Give 'em the ball, and tell them to chunk it in that net thingie. Let the kids work it out.
