If i Muslim man can marry up to 4 wives, why that amount? why not 50?

Salam A muslim man is allowed by Allah in the Qur'an to marry up to the maximum 4 wives but AQllah requires the husband to be fair bto all of his wives.But Allah is convince there is almost no man could treat fairly his 4 bwives so Allah suggests us to have only one wife. And may be also for that, too much indulgence in sex is not good for health and vigour. 4 times a week is just nice on alternate days to keep health and vigour in check in order to fully satisfy the partner, even for the most vigorous.

And possibly,at least once a week frequency with satisfying sexual life with the beloved partner would be great for a female in order not to cause any problems. Much longer frequency would be harming for harmony.

And the urges for want of sex seems to be much higher in men than women, so much so that the men seem to be not just satisfied with just one women. Not the women, who naturally prefer just to be with one man. No women would be for polygamous marriage. But the men, though some of them claim or wish to be a one woman man, but practically are not.

Firstly... men used to marry 10+ women before Islam.

Then Islam came to limit it.

Why? Because God knows best what is the limitation a Man can handle regarding responsibly towards 4 homes. But if they can't be Just... then just 1 wife.

Because with all those women in the kitchen making you sandwiches (assuming they are doing what they're supposed to be doing) it is plausible to eat 4 or 5 sandwiches depending on your level of hunger. But if all 50 wives were doing what they were supposed to, you'd have SEVERAL sandwiches just go to waste, and that would be a shame.

Keeping them happy would be difficult after 2.
