Questions in the Red Badge of Courage?

1. What is henry doing his calculations on?

Who is he measuring himself against

2.Why does he hate the slow generals? What does that show about him?

3.Crane uses symbolism to describe the enemy "acros the river" What does he compare the enemy to?

4.What does crane compare the regiment to?

5.What does a rather fat shoulder attempt to do? Why is this more alarming than they thought?

6. The loud soldier and Henry come to an arguement, what is it about? Does henry speak his thoughts?

7 What does Crane mean by the word "suffering" in the last paragraph in this chapter?

If anybody can answer these it woould be awesom. I have a load of homework to do and i cant do it all in one night.
