Does the House Of Blues check ID for 17+ shows?

I am planning on going to a concert at House of Blues Chicago where an age limit is 17+ but I'm a few months short of that, do they check IDs for age entry, and if so, would I be able to be let in if I'm practically of age? Any comments would help, stories or experiences, nothing sarcastic please.

    Everywhere in Chicago is pretty strict about carding, so I wouldn't get your hopes up...
