Help finding and buying cheap condos in Florida?
I heard a new story about a month or two ago, about how the housing market is so bad in some areas of Florida, you can buy a condo that was selling for 90,000-110,000 5yrs ago, but now are selling between 15,000-40,000. I tried to send emails to some real estate agencies in Florida, and tell them I want to buy one and pay cash. The news story said there were 2 bedrooms, 1 bath for as little as 20,000. I think I could maybe find a bigger one for 25,000. But no agent is calling me back. I was going to offer an extra fee, for any help. At 25,000 their fee would be 500-700. I was going to offer an additional 1,000 or maybe 2,000. Anyone have advice how to contact someone in Florida?

My parents live in SW FL. That area, based on historical sales rates, has an 8 year inventory of foreclosed properties. Add people who have paid their note and want to sell, and the inventory becomes even more deep.
Go to any foreclosure open house there and the agent will have a stack of foreclosure listings for you to sift through.
Agents in FL could waste days talking on the phone to out of state buyers. After a couple of years, they've realized that that is a waste of time for the most part. Take your family there for a working vacation, the wife/kids go to the beach, you see 30 properties in a day.....with checkbook in hand.

A letter, or eMail just seems like someone who is probably not that interested. You should probably call them and set up a time to meet with them (ie to fly down there to look at places) to show you are serious. During the phone call make sure you two are together about what is available and what you are expecting. Also you can check realtor.com and craigslist yourself for some of the things that are available.

I only picked myself off the floor from the laughter. examine any genuine sources website and learn those coastline homes are 2 million. 20k pays the employ on an domicile and under no circumstances something else. only again from Florida and most inexpensive we observed became 250k and that is in imperative Florida

sure. pick your target area and show up. there are plenty of Realtors who need a client or three and being right there and in their face will pretty much get their attention.
Can't say I know of any good properties such as you describe, but then -- I haven't been looking, have I?
