Where should I go in NYC?

I am going to be in NYC for a day, and I'd like to know what people suggest I should do and/or go. I'm not very much interested in the museums, because even though I don't live in NYC I've been to every museum there before, and I am more interested in window shopping and eating lunch & dinner.

I won't be alone. In my tow I'll have three other people along with me, so I'm looking for some things that we can all do together.

I'm going to go in early February, so I know that the weather will be chilly, so I'm looking for mostly indoor activities.

I am going to mostly be around Upper East & West side, and I was thinking of going to Broadway St. and do some shopping there, but how long can that keep four people occupied? 2 hours at most.

We're all women, and none of us are interested in sports, but we are all interested in amusement parks, circuses, and plays.

As I believe I've mentioned before, I am looking for a place to eat lunch and dinner. Not too expensive. Diner type style places, but someplace nice. Possibly a place to get ice cream.

Thank you for reading, and I will take any suggestions!
