well if you want to stop eating fish then just dont eat fish in the future no sense dwelling on it now, sorry your parents arent understanding about it just explain to her that even though some people who say they are vegetarian eat fish (to me thats ridiculous pescetarians arent true vegetarian) that doesnt mean all do and expalin to her you dont want to in the future and maybe she will be ok with you getting vegetarian food

Nothing you can do now, its not going to do anyone good by continue feeling guilty. Just do not eat seafood or meat if you want to be vegetarian.
Do spend time explaining it nicely to your mom, pescetarian is not vegetarianism but is one who includes seafood and excludes other animals in the diet.

She's wrong. Despite what some people say on here, Vegetarians do NOT eat fish. That's Pescetarianism

Tell your mom that it hurts your feelings when she calls your values "nonsense" and that vegetarians don't eat fish. If she persists that they do, say that you don't. If she's buying the sushi, she gets to pick what kind. You're allowed to not partake. If you want the veggie, buy your own.

Explain to your mum that fish is not a part of a vegetarian diet.

Educate your mother about vegetarianism, recognize you can't change the past, don't eat fish in the future if you don't want to, and move on.

Don't worry about it. It's true that vegetarians do not eat fish, but there's nothing wrong with eating fish once in awhile. It's very healthy and is an excellent source of protein, iron, vitamin B12, and omega-3 fatty acids. Biologically, they're also slightly closer to being plants than mammals or birds are, if that makes a difference to you.
Some of the healthiest cultures in the history of the world eat/ate diets rich in seafood.

Just dont eat it again. If your mom says that to you again say it is not nonsence and you will not include fish in your diet.
your mom sounds like a *****.

There is trillions (or more) of fish in the sea, it doesn't matter if one or two billion to be taken out.
