Hi,Need an honest opinion,good and bad about tutoring.?
I work full time have a 4 year old son to look after.So long thinking of working for myself.Looked for various options,every business need big investment.So came to conclusion to start teaching kids.I had done Masters in Maths and used to do tutoring long time ago back home.But don't know Good and Bad as never taught in Melbourne.Also is it worth to leave the job as I have really Good Salary.

The good thing about tutoring is that you can start as small as you want. Tutoring 1 or 2 kids in the evening isn't going to take a lot of time on your part. I would advise you to keep your day job until you know that tutoring is what you really want to do. Start small, build up gradually, and keep your salary from your day job to help smooth out the rough spots.
Remember also that tutoring can be very seasonal. Summers and holidays can be a slow time for tutoring. During these slow times, it's good to have another source of income.
Tutoring can be a great business either full time or part time, but starting part time is best.
