Is there a cruise ship that goes to one place and stays at that one spot for like 2 or 3 days.?

Instead of having 7 or 8 hours at 4 different places we would rather hang out at one place and actually look around and take our time. So is there such a cruise that does that.

Update:

Its a whole lot cheaper to take a cruise and eat and stay on a boat than it is to pay for a flight out there and pay way over 150 bucks a night for a crappy room then buy food. Its just cheaper. And what is the name of cruise liners that do that.

The short answer is yes. The next question is why cruise?

Sounds to me like what you are looking for is an all-inclusive resort. What's more, it sounds like you are looking for a "package". Something like "air/transfers/resort/excursions/etc" priced together.

Not only does this solve the time problem, is solves the "a crappy room then buy food" situation as well.

The assumptions you appear to making could hold true in Europe, but, could actually cost more say... in the Caribbean.

I suspect I could help you if you like. Let me know.

Some world cruise itineraries provide for 2-day stops and occasionally even 3-day stops in major ports such as Sydney, Australia. Very few shorter cruises do that, but I understand that some ships going to Bermuda do. A travel agent should be able to help you find the cruises with longer stops in port.

One possibility is to take a European river cruise. I just took one. We spent 2 to 3 days in most ports. River cruises are more expensive, and most are for 12 days. There are no sea days. A very good, but comparatively inexpensive tour would be with Grand Circle. They include air fare. They also include a shore excursion each morning. Afternoon excursions are optional. All cabins are identical- except that some have balconies.

That would be a special cruise e.g. to the Carnival in Rio, or a big sporting event.

Prices in this case will be much higher than on a regular cruise - because to dock will cost the cruise line a lot of money.

Sometimes there are cruises to Bermuda or the Bahamas that do that.

But if you want to hang out at one place and take your time, why not fly there and stay at a resort or in a hotel?
