What are the best materials for making concrete block?
I want to make blocks from the existing material onsite in Mexico. The available material is rotten granite. Will this be a suitable material to make our blocks with? or will we have to purchase sand to make them?. Also the granite is a pink color, will the blocks take on this color??
Thanks
I only want to know if the rotten granite, combined of course with cement will make a structurally sound block. I am also trying to find a block machine for a reasonable price.
Thanks

i think you could use your granite as an aggregate but you will still need sand and portland cement...
