No need for any 'supplements' this is a very straightforward issue. Your normal diet should take care of all your needs.

You need to train up for the ride. You have plenty of time. But, you need to ride correctly too! You need to learn how to 'spin'. That is the proper way to pedal a bike. You cannot 'mash a bike for 80 miles. Pushing the pedals at too slow of a rate and with too much pedal pressure is impossible.

If you do not know how to ride, get a friend that REALLY does to help you learn. You will need to start getting butt time in the saddle for 1/2 to a full hour per day.... and, long rides of an hour plus per day on the weekends.

You will need a helmet, a pair of padded cycling shorts (road or mountain), and a jersey. You will not believe how just of shape your butt and legs have gotten from just walking around. You will get unbelievably sore! It will go away, but if you start now, in the saddle, for just short rides you will ease into it!

You need to spend a lot of time on the bike and get some butt training. Ride every day and do a long ride on the weekend. The next week add 2 miles every day and 5 to the long weekend ride with the next day off. Load up on carbs the day before your long ride it will make a huge difference. Eat something after the first hour to keep fueled. Drink a sip or two of water every 15 mins to stay hydrated. Eat healthy food if the ride is supported eat what they have. You can apples, banana's, peanut butter sand witches, trail mix. I found good and plenty is good to much on during the ride. It contains only sugar and carbs and is easy to eat as you ride. A big 6 oz box will get you pretty far.

Traning will be more of a problem then food. The more you train the easier the ride will be.

cardio and butt training are what you need

food and supplements are the least of your worries

be sure you can spend 50 miles in the saddle before you try 80

trying that will bring up problems you have to solve first

    ride 5 miles

    then 10 15 25 30 40 50

if you can;t do that you have no hope of 80\

or rather if you don;t train you will have to be both lucky and in shape to make 80
