Work is cutting into my YA time, should I quit?
I really need to leave for work but I may miss some thing. Should I call in and quit?
PQ The 13 y/o is concerned about the size of her feet. (BIG) She is tall, 5' 7.5" but wears an 11.5 or 12 women's shoe. Where do i find cute women's shoes that size? Even online would be fine. She had to buy men's shoes last night for running track and is upset.

yeahhhh! viva la revolucion!
PQ: MOST shoe stores will not stock women's shoes above a 10 for most styles...sometimes you can find an 11 or 11.5 but that's rare...you should try online or try calling the shoe stores in your area ahead of time to see what they have. most shoe stores can special order through a specific shoe company if you don't want to pay for shipping. it is a good idea to try them on in the store because certain brands will run big or small or narrow or wide, but if a store has to order it anyways then online shopping is a good idea. I used to work in a shoe store and that was our policy...
zappos.com has all sorts of sizes and styles and it's free shipping and free returns. they have good customer service too. they have GOOD reviews and the people who review them will tell you how they fit.

I'm an 11. I used to be ale to squeeze into some tens, but my first pregnancy pretty much ended that. My feet were this big when I was in high school in the early 90s. I was also fat. (By freshman year I was 5'9"; by senior year I was 5'11" and weighed over 200.) I pretty much lived in guys' clothes. I knew I was fat and thought I was ugly. (I knew I wasn't as pretty as my thin, pretty popular sister.) I got dressed because I had to. it was the era of grunge and I embraced it. (Think Darlene Connor on "Roseanne" but more introverted.) So, I also wore Converse as well. I got the men's sizes because I figured it really didn't matter.
Now, I'm 33 and still like to dress simply. However, I normally don't go out in jeans and grubby Ts or sweatshirts. (Fitted dressier Ts, yes.) I also wear something nicer than Chucks, even when grocery shopping. I save my sweats and Ts for home. I've noticed that both Pyaless and WalMart now have more of a selection for size 10 and up. They also have options in which you can order the shoe (or other items) on-line and have it sent to the store for no shipping. Check the sports stores as well. They might be able to order larger sizes.

I am 6' and wear a 12 in women's shoe. I have found shoes at Shoe Dept. and Shoe Show (not sure if you have these in your area). Also I know that for me, New Balance runs true to size. I can wear a 12 in any New Balance shoe that I have tried. Nike is also another good one to try, but some of there's does run small. If you find anything let me know. I could use the help also.

Her feet are the same size as mine (10.5 mens), and I'm a 5'11" guy. So yeah, they're huge for a girl that height. But for barefoottess.com, that size is the most common they sell to females. So she should go to that online site. Another choice with a wide size range is zappos.com.
