I got my Level 6, almost 7, azz busted! So sad! All the crap I should get in trouble for and joking about a bag of oranges takes me out! The shame! Ouch! Married to a man disabled by a brain tumor. His F/T care giver plus I work F/T.

  • Profit Sharing/ 401K close out.?

I hope someone here can give me a little advice. My daughter has worked at the same veterinary clinic for 18 years. The doctor had sold the practice to another vet who is now running it and he is her employee. She has about $20,000 in an account he created. Employees that have left have been paid but something very odd is now going on. Since he sold the practice he says the account is closed, that makes sense. But other than a very basic statement last year there had been no paperwork. He says the account is now with the IRS. That makes no sense to me but I have never closed one so I don't know the process. My daughters last day is end of FEB. she is moving from FL to Colorado and would like to have her money before that time. Usually there is at least an attempt to roll it into another account or cash in but she has gotten no info. I've been telling her something is very wrong for months now but at this point she is sure if it. The doctor told her today that it may still take awhile. That really gave her a panic. She has worked for this man since she was 21 her first real job. He had been great to her, helped her, paid toward her education etc. so she really wants to give him the benifit of the doubt. She is getting the accountants info and will call him tomorrow. I'm not sure how much he can even tell her.

Any advice? I'd appreciate any insight that you can offer.

    Thank you all.

  • De-fuzz a jacket?

I have a black polyester jacket that has been in a laudry basket on the shelf for a year at least. It's covered in bath towel fuzz, lint and cat hair. I washed it and it didn't help at all. Does anyone have a clue as to how I can remove the mess? I was going to throw it out but I can use it at work and I'd like to at least try to salvage it.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  • Over heard a plot to injure or kill some one?

This sounds so silly that I've waited days to ask anyone but it really bothers me.

I gave a ride to a friend of a friend last week who had no way to get to his doctor. I have met him a few times and liked him well enough.

He was sitting behind me as I drove and got a call. He says no, no it didn't work out this morning. The guy saw me, neighbors were around, that he'd try the next day. Then I hear oh no, he laughs and says he has a special sawed off shot gun for that. The conversation goes on awhile longer but basically he's saying that the other guy diesnt need to worry it will be taken care of. That the cops will only see a blond guy with tats on his face and a black man. That he knows the guy will answer the front door as he will think it's his drug dealer. I really didn't want to hear this but I couldn't get out of my car. I didn't want to mention it hoping he wouldn't think I could hear. Should I ignore this, tell someone or what? Who would I even tell? I could find out this guys info if I tried I guess. He's an ex con did 12 years which he talks openly about. Maybe I misunderstood or he was BS'ing someone. Any thoughts? Help please.

  • Parked and hit by another car.?

My daughter was parked in line waiting to pick up her child from school. The car in front of her instead of pulling out, backed into her. There was no damage to the cars but my poor daughter is in a lot of pain. Immediate headache, neck ache, etc. I gave her four advil, she took a hot bath and went to lie down. She has a heating pad and took a second dose of advil after 5 hours. She is sleeping now but moaning every time she moves.

She was totally stopped as was the other car prior to the bang I mean, so there was not much speed involved. Has anyone had something similar? I'm not sure if this much pain is normal and its just whip lash and will go away after a couple of days. Being Friday night the DR was closed and going to the ER on Friday night is crazy unless you have a gaping wound or something. I guess if she isn't better we can decide in a few hours.

Does anyone have a suggestion or idea of anything that may help?

The lady that hit her said she wasn't parked in her line of vision, what ever that means. So be careful where you park, if someone hits your invisible car it may be your fault.

  • Cat with diabetes, symptoms?

My 15 close to 16 year old cat Fred is not as healthy when young obviously. He has been checked but not for maybe 6 months so I am taking him back to the vet on Wednesday.

He has very strong urine, drinks a LOT, and now in the last week or so even though he is hungry seems to not enjoy any type of food I offer. The horrid urine smell and thirst is nothing new, he's been like that for several years and as I said has had regular check ups. He has always been a big cat, about 20 pounds and has long hair, I didn't realize how much weight he'd lost until last night. He has been getting thinner the last year but that the doctor said was just age and normal. He lays on me when I sleep and still feels like he is heavy so when I picked him up last night I was shocked. I bet he's lost 3-4 pounds. I called my daughter the vet tech and she feels its probably diabetes but I wondered if any one could tell me their experiences, etc.

Now I feel like a horrid mom that I didn't notice sooner.

    Thanks for any input folks.

  • Do I pick up the dog?

I'm sitting in a small chair using my laptop. My rotten pug girl has gotten up and is at my feet whining and barking at me to pick her up. Brat!

Would you move or tell the dog no? I've been saying no for 5 minutes and laughing at her. She is selectively deaf tonight. From her moaning you'd think I'm the meanest mom ever.

  • Parents I really need advice, help?

14y/o girl, 9th grade in high school. She has two younger siblings by her dad but he has been absent most if her life. She spent the summer with them but her dad has since said she shouldn't come back. That she shouldn't try out for sports at school, etc because she wasn't good at any thing. He is a jerk yes and for some reason is hurting her. He said she's ruined his life because he can't accord the court ordered child support. He's paid it maybe 3 times in 14 years. Hurting her hurts her mom I guess. Plus the normal teenage angst she is hurting. Kids at school are mean to each other plus she is smart and gets teased for that as well. I remember that age as being awful and I don't know how to help or what to say. Her teacher saw that she had marks on her arm today and called the counselor. It seems she went in the bathroom cut the skin with her scissors she uses for fashion class. They aren't deep but there are lots of cuts at least through the skin. She hates the thought of seeing a therapist but she has no choice at this point. Her mom has told her she cNt be alone at all, if she needs a razor she has to ask, same with scissors, etc . The child is throwing a crying fit, no one trust here, no one understands, yada yada. The drama only a teenager can bring. Any way, any advice would be appreciated greatly.

  • As a parent does the Casey Anthony verdict still bother you?

She is being released from jail some time after midnight tonight. There is a crowd outside the jail chanting "release Casey Anthony". I have no idea why the crowd or the chant. Due to her safety I can't imagine they will let her walk through the crowd or even let them see her.

There are many very angry people here and she has had many death threats.

The whole think makes me heart sick as I do believe she is guilty and she has destroyed her entire family.

  • Any suggestions, my cat is missing? In a panic.?

My sweet Libby Lou, previous feral cat has gotten out some how. I am absolutely sick with worry. She's indoor only since we rescued her. We had a flood night before last and were up with the shop vac cleaning up water from 5 or 6 am. My cats hate it and always hide. So when I left for work at noon I hadn't seen either one but that's normal. When I got home last night I found Fred, still hiding and pouting but locatable in a bedroom. Still no LuLu. We did take some wet rugs out during the clean up but I never saw her near the door nor did my daughter. We searched every indoor hiding place and then outside in the dark for hours. We live on a lake (gators) near a walking trail. She has never been out there and has to be terrified. I am losing it. I know you guys can't help me but since I'm crying I needed to tell some one who cares. i'm getting signs with pictures printed to post through the complex and have put a sign with her name, description and my location and number by the mail kiosks.

Is there any thing else you think I should do?

She is friendly and sweet but I don't know if she would go to any one this afraid. I must be the dumbest cat mom every to not know she was gone for 18 hours.

I know this is a huge post, sorry. I just needed to vent. Thanks if you take the time to read.

  • Work is cutting into my YA time, should I quit?

I really need to leave for work but I may miss some thing. Should I call in and quit?

PQ The 13 y/o is concerned about the size of her feet. (BIG) She is tall, 5' 7.5" but wears an 11.5 or 12 women's shoe. Where do i find cute women's shoes that size? Even online would be fine. She had to buy men's shoes last night for running track and is upset.

  • Does your cat steal things? Knock things off tables?

I just sat down and turned on YA. I have a few bills here I'm going to pay and a Sharpie marker to write my conformation of payment numbers on top of the statements. My rotten girl Lou Lou jumped on the desk, grabbed the Sharpie in her mouth, like a dog would a bone, and took off ! I was so surprised I didn't even try and grab it. Any time she can find a drink cup with a straw she takes those and runs but never a heavy pen before.

To amuse herself she sits on the desk, table, night stand, etc and will knock things into the floor and then stare at them to see if they'll come back up. That I enjoy watching. Stealing my pen is a new one. She is truly the most entertaining cat I've ever had.

Do you guys have cats that show off with un-cat like behaviors?

Lou Lou was found in an abandoned house with her sister and 5 babies. They were all very ill and lucky to have been alive.

A friend has one of her sons who also knocks things off counters. He was sitting on the counter watching her get can soup from under the sink cabinet and when she bent down to get more, knocked the can off hitting her in the forehead. She has a huge knot and bruise. Its so funny listening to her explain what happened to other people. You've gotta love them!

  • Does the M.O.M. question drive you crazy?

Its a Halloween question and that's a little over now.

I think its dumb anyway but that's just me. The fact that the same questions been there for weeks seems like they didn't think the new idea through before implementing.

  • woud you drop a 12y/o at the airport alone?

My grand daughter 12 has been visiting her dad for 10 days returning home today. She called me this morning and was alone at the airport. Her dad dropped her off 3-4 hours early and told her he had to go to work. She went through security and check in alone. Luckily she had money we gave her before she left and went and got breakfast. She didn't call me until after because she was trying to calm down and didn't want me to know she was crying. Of course we both cried then. She's in Colorado and I'm in Florida.

Is this as stupid as I think it is? Her mom has been losing her mind and is waiting at the airport now.

Would you drop your child off and say see you in a few months? I can't believe he is that stupid but it seems he is.

  • Can you do any thing to treat a corn between your toes?

I have what I guess is a corn between my big toe and the second one. Its got a raised spot that looks similar to a callous but very sore. I applied a corn removal pad which seemed to make it worse and lots more sore. It has a spot that's open toward the center.

Is there some way to treat this? Do I need to see a doctor?

I have had my shoe off all day but it hasn't changed any.
