My ice maker is leaking inside the freezer. I'm trying to shut off the water.?

Does the line from the freezer usually run to the cold water side?

Its 4:30 am and I can't tell exactly what goes where. I turned the water off on the cold side until I can sleep a few hours at least. Help ! Thanks for any answers.

Update:

I've had the metal bar up but it fell off totally. It a new ice maker, well a few months old. It worked fine and then with no one touching it the water flow changed. Every time ice drops, water fills and then it over fills into the ice bin. Since I can't use an ice cube as big as the bin I had the bar up to stop the water. I heard it running last night and found the bar laying inside. My repair guy is on vacation. I have no idea why I have double the amount of water all the sudden. I need it fixed that's for sure.

Thanks for all your help.

The shut off is usually at the closest water line near fridge...Try looking under your sink...There is usually a settle clamp you can turn the tiny handle to shut it off...It should have a small plastic water line attached to the cold water line...

generally you just lift the metal bar that goes across the front of the ice maker to turn the ice maker off and then it won't call for water

to turn the water itself off you need to follow the water line behind the fridge to the valve and shut it down there

the one line will feed both the water dispenser and the ice maker

I have found them coming out of the wall behind the fridge, Under the bathroom sink as well as under the kitchen sink. Some are saddle valves while others were piped in.
