tampax pearl is about 8 dollars and there is a pack that comes in various sizes. plus the "pearls" on the string of the tampon will catch any blood that overflows the tampon. just make sure you change your tampons every 4-8 hours. anymore time and its VERY unhealthy. research TSS or toxis shock syndrom. it doesnt happen very often anymore unless you keep the tampon in for too long. like the girl above me. but as long as you change out the tampon when you should you have no need to worry about getting TSS. oh! and make sure they are unscented. the scent used in scented tampons mess with the ph levels in your vagina that keep it healthy. scented tampons can actually make your down there business even worse smelling.

to the person above me: thats VERY strange. are you sure? my best friend is a gynecologist and she says that is VERY rare

If the pad smells or it soaks through to your underwear, you're wearing the pad for FAR too long. You should be changing them every four hours or so.

Nearly all tampons are under 10$. When I used them, I used Tampax. I don't use them anymore, because I got TSS and tampons aren't worth that to me.

Edit - Though the recommendation is no more than 8 hours wearing a tampon and not using an absorbency that is any higher than what you need, I got TSS wearing regular absorbency tampons for no more than five or six hours at a time.

    I recommend Tampax pearl.

I have always used these, and i adore them.

It has a plastic applicator, and the string will catch any blood that flows out.

I would use a pantie liner, because blood will come out and get on your underwear, or will get on the string and that will rub against your underwear.

These usually cost about 8$ and are very comfortable.

If you put it in correctly, you shouldn't feel pain, or anything at all.

Make sure that you don't keep a tampon in for more than 8 hours, otherwise you could get TSS.

    (toxic shock syndrome)

Its deadly, but very very very VERY rare. make sure to change and you will be fine.

    Good lucky girly (:

Did you position it in at a mild attitude? And is all of it the way in? make effective of those, the tampon will experience weird and wonderful in the different case. that is common for them to experience somewhat weird and wonderful the first few cases you employ them yet they ought to not damage or experience scratchy or something. i like to recommend sticking with narrow or widely used tampons. On heavy days you should use a pad or pantyliner as a form of backup with the tampon.

I highly recommend menstrual cups. (moon-cup)

They are good for heavy days and light days and feel SO much cleaner.

I couldn't live without one now.

Also..it will work out cheaper in the long run.
