Does any one have advise about encaustic painting on firied ceramics?

I have a friend thinking about trying encaustic painting on fired ceramics.

This maybe nice for some of my figurative pieces.

I would be applying this to fired ceramics - I would like to think about firing to cone 1 instead of the normal cone 6 so the ceramic clay would still be porous.

I would like to keep this as nontoxic as possible

I do have a last refuge of working in a spray booth vented to the outside.

Encaustic is melted wax, so it should work well enough on unglazed, porous, fired clay.

"I do have a final secure haven of working in a sprig sales area vented to the outdoors." i think of you could desire to envision out encaustic greater. i think it particularly is pigment in wax and for this reason spraying isn't obtainable. in case you in effortless terms propose you will use it as a vent, then excuse me.
