Can a tranny fluid flush save this dying tranny? Overdrive and 3rd are out, it's automatic?
There was a van I was thinking about buying, it's a 1999 Honda Odyssey. It has 183k miles on it and they said that overdrive and 3rd gear were out but 2nd gear is still ok. Do you think if I took it to a shop and had a transmission fluid flush done, that it would save the transmission by any chance? Or is it shot and don't even bother? Thanks for your input.

Terrible! Stay away from it. There are many good running cars for a few hundred bucks. Every one in a while your township auctions off many of the public works vehicles, including police cars. I never had any problem with them and I buy them for like $200.

No! Worse stage is when you have to put it in overdive Third gear. Mostly you will have to buy another transmission cause 2nd only goes about 30mph at tops. I'm hoping the samething in my Car I'm using overdrive Third gear :( Hope this help

Buy tennis shoes. Sit down and put on tennis shoes. Run as fast as you can away from this junker.
It is highly likely the transmission is gone and no flush, or anything else other than a new one ($3,000), is going to change that.
