what kind of disc format are Wii games formatted on?

meaning basically are the Wii games made onto CD-ROMS or DVD's. I'm wanting to know so that I can make a back-up of the three games I have.

    The Wii games are DVD's they maybe dual layer (rare Ie: Super Smash Bros. Brawl)

    Then, download an app called uloader & store/play games from usb harddrive.
