What color lining to use in a dress? I miss my mom!?
I am going to make this dress:

The pattern calls for it to be lined. The fabric I have is an iridescent pink/green - very light pink, and only looks green when bunched together - kind of like this:

What color lining would you use.

If you want pink to be prominent, use pink. If you want the green to be prominent, use green.
If you want to be neutral and let the fashion fabric do the speaking, use a lining that is the closest to your skin tone.

Sorry if you are missing your Mom -- but I will try to help. If you want a pretty / nostalgic look - go with the softest shell (pink) color that you can find. Complimentary (soft) - color next door is always safe. But contrast - the color on the opposite side on the color wheel - opposite of red (pink is a version of red) is green. So if you want to go funky - out there, a little wild -- a contrasting green would be fabulous underneath. It depends on your personality and the occasion that you are planning to wear the dress. Personally, I'd go with the green and recommend that to you -- it doesn't have to be bright - again - a value (same level of color - soft - pale - pastel) similar to the pink will work very well to give the dress a little pizazz without being too out there -- I wouldn't go lime - electric etc. but a soft, silvery green would be amazing.
