Why is she doing this?
My best mate of 4 years has suddenly started to do this thing where she suddenly stops talking to me. She'll not say a word, avoid me, turn her back on me... She'll be like this for a week or a day even and then suddenly be fine again. She'll talk to everyone else but me. And i'm quite a loner so i havent really got any friends apart from her.
I just got out of quite a bad (but thankfully short) Cyclothymia depression phase to find i am still upset because my best friend keeps hating me for no reason. I am just so fed up. I could use cheering up right now, and she is just doing this!
Why???
Thank you... :(
In response to the questions in the answers,
The person she has started talking to the most is my worst enemy who i cannot stand
When i talk to her she usually gives like a one word answer or a response that makes me feel like a ****. For example if i try a humurous comment, instead of laughing like usual, she will point out why i am wrong and make me feel like an idiot.

I think the main issue is that she is your only friend. I think you will feel better if you lose the reliance on her. Not that the way she is behaving is or appropriate of a friend. But if you get involved in other things I am sure you will make at least some connection with other people and maybe she'll chase you a little

You know when sometime people hate you for no reason it's because there's hiding something or is maybe they feel bad about something they have done. Why don't you ask your friend? It's better to know then not know and be upset.
Hope everything thing gets better !!

Don't you have a common friend with her so you can find out what's her problem? How about calling her? Or call her mother and ask her what's wrong? I don't know how else you may approach her. How is she reacting when you talk to her?
