Are dry cleaners called "cleansers" where you live?
I ran into this spelling on dry-cleaning shop signs in Providence, Rhode Island (USA) when I moved there in 1965. One employee even came outside to look at her store's sign because she had never noticed the spelling. People seem to pronounce the word "cleaner" but several companies spell the word with an "s" on their signs. Does this spelling exist anywhere else?
I'm talking only about dry-cleaning shops, not the powdered kitchen cleansers that come in a can.

I've lived in several towns (only in Iowa, however) and have never seen it spelled like that. That's odd.
