I started with a personal trainer yesterday, and today my legs are killing me...?

I was super sore today, I can't really even walk right..I have an appointment to see him again in a few hours, are there other things we can do that won't put much stress on my legs or should I call him and cancel the appointment (I've been working out the past 7 days, a lot of Cardio) Any advice on helping the soreness in my legs? Will we do other parts of the body or will he call me a wussy and make me work through the pain :(

A good personal trainer will organize your workout to focus on one area of your body on a certain day then again a day or two later to let that part of your body rest.

    Ex. :

    Monday: Calves, Thighs and Glutes

    Tuesday: Triceps and Biceps

    Wednesday: Abs and Pecs

    Thursday: Calves, Thighs and Glues

    Friday: Triceps and Biceps

    Saturday: Abs and Pecs

    Sunday: Rest

You can also tell your trainer about your pain and he may accommodate for your sore legs. Remember, if it's sore the next day, it means you're gaining muscle. Muscle builds by breaking down then building up on places where you've torn microscopic pieces of your muscle to make them stronger than where they were broken down. Soreness is a sign of a good workout. :)

I`d recommend canceling the appointment because if your muscles are THAT sore, than you need to take a rest! Good Luck and get better!!!! :-)

it is because your muscles are not ready for this much exercise, they ran out of energy and produced lactic acid. you have to have a pain killer and a anti-inflammatory gel if u can.
