Depends on if you have other bad checking accounts. All overdrawn accounts are reported to a system that is required to be checked before opening another account. Therefore, if you have an overdrawn account at Bank of America, you can not go to Suntrust and open another account because Suntrust will find out when they run your i.d.

Depends where like normal banks like citi or WAMU or wells fargo yes. But credit unions typically won't take people with bad credit.
