do people who listen to country music have a higher quality of life?
just wondering if any research has done with this question. I've just been noticing that my friends who listen to country music consistently are the most positive people in my life. Kind of weird coincidence, I just wanted to know, has there been any studies regarding this?

The older style of country music has saved my life at times,it works as therapy for me! The newer,what they call country music,if anything has lowered my quality of life.Whats not real in no way can higher anyones quality of life! That's why I still listen to the real sounding country music! It definitely highers my quality of life!

I'd probably say yes because generally country music has a much more positive, down home- family values kind of meaning. Versus the other genres that are normally full of angst, depression, anger, abusiveness, etc. Not saying I don't like the other genres either. I love all kinds of music, but if I'm kinda down the first thing I want to do is listen to some country. Listening to the other stuff generally just makes me stew more.
