What can I use to substitute white or pink champagne?
I've got a pink Champagne cake recipe for my Mom's birthday and since Champagne sounds expensive I was wondering if there is a substitute for it. The Cake is not the original recipe but something I found like it on the KTIV Channel Four News Site.

You can substitute with any Sparkling wine.
Korbel makes an excellent one for arround $12.
Robert Mondavi Woodridge Brut would also be good for baking at about the same price.
Both are widely distributed and easy to find.

I just purchased a really delish recipe guide online and I have now been able to cook some truly fabulous dishes with my guests, who are always complimenting the great food I prepare. Perhaps you’ll find some special recipes to share. Bon Appetit and Enjoy!

A bottle of cheapy champagne is like $3, seriously, it's nothing
BUT if you must, then use a mixture of 2 parts club soda to 1 part white grape juice

just buy an american sparkly wine like korbel, ballatore, etc. instead. you shouldn't spend more than $10 on it at the store .Andre Pink Champagne is only $4.99 per bottle.
