A big hole in the vampire theory?

They are not dead, zombies are dead. Vampires are like werewolves - in a different state of living, with different life cycles, necessities, etc. It is the idea of the changed human nature. And if you aks the question why zombies can move if thy are dead... well, it's a kind of a magic, voodoo magic.

well your body would be dead too, so what does it matter?

What I don't get is when vampires have babies (like in twilight) - how can that be possible, after all vampires are dead. So if both parents are vampires they wouldn't be able to create life would they? Or would they give birth to a dead baby vampire, or would it be a live one? If a dead one, then the poor kid wouldn't have a chance would he? To be born dead and never have known what it was like to just be human. He would JUST be vampire, never human first - is that even part of the mythology?

I ponder on this a lot.

This is in response to bloodshot.. In most vampire books/TV shows vampiries can't procreate. Twilight is stupid, so of course those vampires could procreate...

But in Angel, two vampires have a baby by a miracle conception. The child isn't a vampire though, he is a human but with the powers of a vampire. Although he is possibly classed as demonic, he is not born dead.

For one reason or another, people choose to overlook such glaringly obvious facts as you can't survive exclusively on blood, no one has ever shape shifted and become a bat, that seeing a cross won't kill you and that exposure to sunlight won't instantly turn you into ash.

When you are dead, you are dead and there's no coming back. But there are plenty of equally obvious things that prove vampires are nothing but a myth.

The biggest point to make here is that we're not dead. We were born with a particular trait that makes it necessary for us to obtain and consume energy different from the energy obtained through normal food. While we still do require regular food, we also have to meet other needs. Many of the traits given to our kind in fictional works are simply not true. We are not immortal, we don't die in sunlight, we're not repelled by garlic or crosses, we don't sparkle, and we don't have supernatural powers.

Vampires are living. Their life just isn't there. So, their brain isn't dead. It functions the same way as everyone else's except for their reaction to blood.

All vampires have a demonic controller that runs that dead body so a human brain is not needed........

I don't believe in Blood Sucking Vampires. But........ There are Energy Vampires , that drain and suck the good , positive energy from you. Like being drained of all your ( Chi ) or life force.
