What fads & styles do you remember from the 80's?

Leg Warmers, Walkmans ( personal cassette players w/ headphones ) neon colors in everything from hair to shirts and shoe laces, the preppy look, MTV and music videos, blue jeans and cords from The Gap, sweaters worn over the shoulders, IZOD, Pac-Man, Space Invaders, The Vally-Girl way of speaking ( like oh my god, and grotty to the max, and gag me with a spoon ), The Cosby Show, Family Ties, Silver Spoons, Gimme a Break, Wendys slogan " Wheres the beef ", The Rubics Cube, Joe Boxer underwear, Breakdancing, boom box radios, Huey Lewis and The News, Asia, The Alan Parsons Project, Cyndi Lauper, The Motels, Devo, The Jets....

and you mentioned Miami Vice, the whole suit with no socks look came from that too, so 80's..
