Is this path going to lead me to becoming a Primary School Teacher?

I'm finishing my GCSE's this year, they all going to be above C grade hopefully.

And then I'm doing the btec childcare course for two years after which I believe I'll be allowed a Teaching Assisstant job.

And then in Uni I'll do a course for Primary Teaching Degree, a QTS or whatevers needed and then I should be done shouldn't I? Like it doesn't matter that I don't have any Alevels does it?

All answers appreciated and if you're a teacher, let me know which route you went down to get there!

Thankyou! :) X

    For primary teaching you need

    - Science- C

    -Maths - C

    English- C

In GCSE- Which you are aiming for, so that's a check.

You then need A levels or a college degree. You're doing a two year BTEC course. Providing that you can get enough points on that course to go to University then that's fine. Check

Once at Uni you need to do a primary teaching 3 year degree- Which you are doing. Check.

Within this or a year after you need to achieve QTS- Qualified teacher status and you need to complete you ITT (Initial teacher training) Once this is done then you are ready for a job as a Primary teacher. So the route your going down is fine.

I'm training to be a high school teacher and currently working at a high school.

I got Science, English, Maths - C's or above. A levels - Psychology, English Language, ICT and History C's or above. Gap year work at a high school + work experience at a primary school. I'm now doing a 3 year course in English Language and then I'll do a PGCE afterwards to complete my training.

My friend who is working at a primary school done

Science, Maths, English- C or above

College course in Health and social

    Primary teacher training/ ITT

    PGCE + QTS

    You're fine. Good luck :) It's a rewarding job!
