question about email?

I have a question about email address

say i have the an email address and said email is deleted, and later

someone comes along and thinks up the same email address that i had

before

1. will they be able to create the email after my was deleted?

2. if they can create it, will they be able to access accounts on sites

that dont allow accounts to be deleted?

i wanted to know because when you go to a site it ask for an email and

it always says that it needs an email address, and if you have already

created an account and forgot your password it will send you the

password to your email. well... if i delete my email and can not delete

the account then if someone comes along and creates the same email, wont

they just get a "this email address is already on record" then

all they have to do is press the forgot my email and they will be able

to log on to set "un deleteable" site account?

sorry about the long (confussing) question(s)

Update:

is that everything on yahoo, or everything everything, like on every other site that is not run by yahoo?

When an account is deleted either by you or Yahoo then anything that was affiliated with that account will be gone too.

When an account is deleted it is held on Yahoos database for three months, and usually about four months if someone created the same account name as the one you had before, they will only have the account, nothing more, and they won't be able to get to anything that was affiliated with the account.

The sites not run by yahoo will email the current owner of the yahoo address. They'll have no way of knowing that you left yahoo. Try changing the email address the non-yahoo site has on file for you. If the other site had your credit card number, you might want to get that changed.
