Run Malwarebytes in safe mode and remove the items that it finds to be malware. Restart your computer and see if your problem has cleared up. You can also run a full virus scan using the other software that you have installed. Running in safemode should allow the programs to complete the scan and subsequently remove the problem. If the above fails to help with your issue then I would call customer support for your computer. Since it is new they will most likely not charge you to troubleshoot and repair your computer if the problem is an hardware issue. If the cause of your problem is a virus they may charge you, it depends on the manufacturer.

Try running an anti-virus in safe mode that way it may get past the 10% threshold. But I suggest that you do a fresh reinstall of your operating system and immediately update the OS to avoid this problem. Install an anti virus and a firewall for protection and set a password for admin activities so that malicious programs cannot install other programs without your consent. Create another user id for Internet browsing and other routine activities.

I prefer fresh installation because the system performance doesn't aleays become the same after an infection.
