I have a massive excel sheet with peoples names, professions and twitter handles. For the events I manage, I often need to find 5 or 6 twitter handles at a time. Butthen I have to do this 20 times. That means I am looking up one by one the twitter handle for a total of over a hundred people. Is there any way to search all the participants at the same time and filter just the twitter handles I want?

OK Wordpress junkies try this one:

A while back I started an account with a name we will call Username-1. For a bunch of reasons I then changed the username to something else which we will call Username-2. Once I did that I later also changed the e-mail address and today there is really no original connection with Username-1

Sio yesterday I went to start a new account and went to use Username-1. I was told this name already existed. WordPress had not deleted my old username, just changed it. But I can't get in with the password. Since I changed the email address, I get an error saying the e-mail address for a password reset is wrong and it is possible the username is unconnected to an e-mail. So Username-1 still exists, but like a Phantom in cyber space. I have no other programs I use so the other password reset options are useless to me.

Is there any way to recover Username-1? Or is it condemned to be like a ghost in the interwebz forevermore???

My wife and I are moving to Brussels and I will need to find a job. I would like to know what the best websites for finding work in Brussels are. Something like a Craigslist equivalent or Monster? I speak fluent French (my written is a little touchy) but not Flemish. I also have a Visa, so I do not need to worry about that.

By trade I am a Copywriter and Content Manager by trade though I would be happy to get a job at a video shop or bar tend or something just to get in the game. Any information would be helpful.

On a side note, any good sports teams I should know about? I love a good day down at the stadium!

So I installed Ubuntu 11.04 a few weeks back and I really liked it. No hic ups, never crashed for me. Today I upgraded to the new Ubuntu 11.10. Now my wireless doesn't work at all. I can see my connection and when I click on it it asks me for my password. It then thinks for 2 minutes, and comes back again asking for my password. and on and on it goes in this cycle.

i heard maybe this is a driver issue. but i am not a hardware guy. i have no idea what my driver is, how to find out or what to do once i do find out.

sadly, this is what keeps people away from linux.with 11.04 i just clicked, entered a password and i was on my way. here i have spent 2 hours looking around on the net (with an ethernet connection) and all i find is long complex code which might as well be in Greek.

I know some people are hardcore Gnome 3 supporters. I use Unity myself and it really made me a convert to Linux. Mostly because it is more user friendly. I just installed Gnome 3 on an older computer. I have spent half a day trying to install things. With Unity it is just a few clicks and I am done. With Gnome 3 I can't find anything in the Download Manager, things I download won't install even though it says they are for Ubuntu.

I am at a loss but I also appreciate I am a Linux n00b. So two questions

1. How in the heck do you install ANYTHING on Gnome 3 (VLC would be a good example since I have spent all day trying that one)

2. With all of the difficulty Gnome 3 has given me vs the simplicity of Unity, what is the argument for Gnome 3?

Turn on Computer and

windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software change might be the cause

launch startup repair

start windows normally

if i start windows normally it will just send me back to this screen. if i launch start up repair it will do something and end up on a bluish 'windows' screen with a cursor and wont do anything.

i have left this on all night so a good 10 hours. it is not an impatience problem

recovery cd will take me as far as a screen which says 'please wait a moment' and then nothing. i have also done this over night

alt plus f10 will create the same result

f8 does not respond - i can not get to safe mode

in short i am out of options. i can not think of anything else aside from taking it to the shop or buying a mac. any last ditch ideas are warmly welcomed!

In both I just imported the movie, cut a few things and exported it on recommended settings.

In the iMovie version the quality is much lower, it seems grainier. does anyone know why?

My company put me in charge of our Facebook page and I want to launch a Facebook app/game for the company page. The idea would be to have something like Tetris where the top 5 on the leader boards would win a prize or store credit. I am open to ideas! The biggest problem I find is most games can't be incorporated into a company page. Help me out interwebs!!!

What is the best Pro Am Video camera? I have been asked by my employer to get one for making promotional videos. I looked a lot at the Canon XH-A1S and a lot of people seem to like it.

Also, do most cameras on this level still use magnetic tape? I thought everything was shifting over to hard disks for easy computer transfer. Is one better than the other? Is it easy to transfer DV to a computer?

Ok, get this. I downloaded a TV show the other day and since then I have had nothing but nightmares with my computer. It is a brand spanking new Acer with Intel i5 and Windows 7.

It is so friggin slow. Something is terribly wrong. It takes forever to do anything.

So I ran Avast, AdAware, CCleaner Spybot Search and Destroy. What do all these have in common? They all freeze about 10% through. The just freeze the whole computer, shut it down. The only programs that do this are protection programs. everything else is slow but doesn't crash.

I even went to Hijack This! to get some info and even that warned me that it could not access Host files so some info would be missing.

OK Interwebz, try this one. I work on the SEO for my company which has two domain names. Last Friday I was thrilled when I saw one of them had jumped from page four of Google to fourth place on page 1. All my work had finally paid off. Or had it?

Monday I was gutted to see all of them had disappeared and the other domain name was the only one to show up, but back on page 4.

Now it's Friday again and it is déjà vu! I woke up this morning to find the first domain name back up at page 1. What am I doing right/wrong?

Ok Yahoo! Try this one! Three days ago I went to a conference and hooked my laptop to a wifi there.

Since I have been home, I can connect my wifi in the morning, no problem. When I get home from work, however, it is impossible.

I can still connect with an ethernet cable, and my wifi connection still shows up as an option, but it will not connect no matter what I do.

I have run all the major virus softwares.

I am using an Acer Aspire 7741G on Windows 7

Any thoughts?
