Braces: Which teeth to pull?
I'm 26 years old and I am getting braces on the 15th of this month. I have to go for my final consultation on the 8th. My teeth are really overcrowded. I know I am going to have to have some teeth pulled to prevent them from flaring out WAY to much. They already do that some.
I am missing 2 back molars on the left side. I have a tooth in the front bottom (the 4 teeth in the front) that has some gum recession from where as a teenager I had a lebret ring.
My question is do I let them pull more of my teeth on the sides, or do I talk to them about pulling the front middle tooth on the bottom? I can't decide how weird that would look, or if it would look strange at all. Either way, I don't want to spend $5000 on braces and then have that one tooth fall out anyway, which is a possibility without all the gum there to support it.
Ideas?

They'll probably pull premolars if any teeth need to be taken. If you have the one in front pulled it'll probably look weird. But the orthodontist will know which teeth will look the best to have taken out. They're experts at it!

It relies. Are your whole grownup enamel in, or are there nonetheless youngster enamel that have not fallen out but? If you continue to have youngster enamel, it might be ok to move forward and feature them pulled in view that they're going to develop again. However, if they're grownup enamel, shouldn't have them pulled on account that they would possibly not develop again. Alternatively, if they're youngster enamel, you might simply stay up for them to fall out on their possess. As a long way as I understand, having enamel pulled does no longer influence different enamel across the house wherein the teeth is being eliminated from. The simplest different option to braces is surgical procedure alas... :-p In phrases of getting braces usually, get ready to your mouth to be sore the following few days once you get your braces. It can also be sore after a twine is changed, in view that the brand new twine is pulling the enamel into but a different sample to straighten them. Bring Tylenol, Advil, or your favored option of painkiller on your appointments; you'll be happy that you simply did! You've usually already heard approximately the meals regulations. No difficult sweet(should you chew or bite it), no caramel, no popcorn, no gum. It kinda stinks. :-p Best of good fortune along with your braces! Remember: They would possibly look like a drawback correct now, however in the end, they are going to make your enamel directly. :-)
