Do you experience this problem with Yahoo Answers?

yesso, yes. No 15 hours. you can not edit your answer after 6 hours. Also while submitting the answers of a question, the yahoo do its duty saying the question is deleted, then it is accepting only 2nd time submission.

@Asker: Now, the yahoo is allowing to edit some more hours. i tried several times to Edit this answer, but after my effort 9 times, i succeeded. so, the yahoo is now extending some more hours.

how i gave answer ? purely my experience. i tried to correct my answers to the questions, but unable to correct. That is the reason for my answer here.

I have edited many answers after 2 or 3 days and it works fine. So please do not say that you cannot edit it after 6 hours. Even many questions that I posted to Madhukar sir was edited by him after a few days and he did edit it fine and put forth a more clear answer.

On the whole I would like to say that Yahoo Answers does run very slow sometimes due to loaded servers. And people may face unexpected problems. Many times I too have even not been able to log in because of this fact. So sir, wait for another hour or so and it will work fine.

If you do not believe me, I will edit this answer itself after 6 hours and really show that it can be done. I am not challenging anybody, I will only show that you can edit your answer as long as it is open for business. Wait till I edit this post.

Not quite. After edits I often get "the question has been deleted", but then when I click

on the question from "my activity", my edits have been posted. Very bizarre.

@edit - even when I posted the above answer, YA said "the question has

been deleted",but sure enough my answer was posted. Very buggy.

@edit - just testing to see if I could edit 6+ hours after answering. Seems OK at 15+ hours.

I usually get that problem on the original answer, rather that when editing. Sometimes the question was deleted while I was typing, once (yesterday) a best answer was awarded while I was typing. Sometimes closing all browser windows and re-finding the question helps, sometimes not.

It's a mystery to me.

I don't know where the six-hour figure came from. That's not what the YA docs say. Take a look at:

I am experiencing the same problem. I wonder about Big Bang answer. How can he alone do it while all others experiencing the same problem.? May be he did some time like a month or so. For example, shri yamunaithuraivan came with a question and asked another answerer to translate into english from the tamil answer. No response from the answerer. i did the job saying one can not re-edit after some hours. This is what all are experiencing.

Yes, over the last 24 hours I have tried unsuccessfully to edit an answer multiple times. It has happened to me before, as well.

Yes I experienced that. It was even more crazy since I could edit other answers to q's I had answered before or after. So... way beyond my understanding.

If the editing was really worthwhile, I just mailed the asker so that he could repost the q.

The extremely annoying "Y!A is Currently Unavailable" notice seems to appear randomly all over the site. I think it's because of glitches or just plain heavy user volume. It pops up everywhere.

Glad to see your posting after a long time. I also experience such problems. Usually it will be set right after some time. Otherwise, the question may be deleted.

It may be just a glitch, refresh the page and it should let you edit your answer.
