Big boy banks are being bullies and think they can get away with charging fees for checking accounts.

Chase, Citi, and Bank of America are also starting to charge fees.

    This will be short lived.

People are flocking to smaller regional banks and credit unions that don't charge fees.

Google small banks in your area and see what they have to offer.

If ATM access is important to you keep this in mind, since smaller banks don't have as many ATM locations.

Credit Unions and small banks will treat you right.

Note: If you are looking for future home loans, I hope you have more than $1,500.

    You'll need a down payment...
