Do I need to wait for a form from my university before i file taxes?

I already have my w-2, and a form from the state. Do I still have to wait for a specific form from the university before i can file?

If you paid tuition in 2010 trust me, you WANT to wait until you get the form from your school. There are some serious tax credits that you'll need your 1098-T for. I've linked a PDF explaining the three credits you can get.

I used the American Opportunity credit and it added 2500 to my return, so it was definitely worth the wait. All three of the credits work differently for different people, so make sure you calculate the amounts of all three before settling on one.

You need ALL of your documents to file an accurate return. if your return is inaccurate, you get charged interest and penalties on incorrectly received refund.
