How much does the St john ambulance uniform cost after induction?

Hey, the uniform is free providing your division can afford to pay for it and you show commitment to volunteering. There are several different types of uniform, the uniform still consists of the out dated penguin style jumper and trousers (although trousers are not provided, you must wear your own, the same with boots). There is also a new white polo shirt that is modern and is favoured amongst the majority of the divisions for informal duties.

The green "boiler-suit" that you have described is a part of the SJA uniform. However, this is "operational ambulance wear" and you will only be given one of those if you have passed the PTS course (patient transport service) or "Med Gases" "CPR" "First Aid at Work" and "Defib", and your division has given you permission to crew the ambulance. To crew an ambulance you must be at least 18 years old and have the above qualifications that they provide free of charge.

I was a cadet and then an adult member of St John Ambulance...There are loads of divisions where I live (Dorset- south coast) St John is still very much alive and kicking with groups of badgers, cadets and adult members. Type St John Ambulance into google and ring the central number...i'm sure there must be more groups nearer to you xx
