Has anyone had personal experience with a thyroid biopsy?

My doctor found some nodules and wants to do a biopsy and I'm wondering how much it hurts.

The actual biopsy doesn't hurt, mainly since a local anesthetic is used to numb the injection site. The worst part of the whole thing is the little bit of stinging you get from the anesthetic. Be sure to double ask your doctor if they use it, and if they don't, ask them to. Now with the actual biopsy, you might feel a little bit of pressure, but no pain. You might get a little bit of soreness or even a bruise after the biopsy, but some Tylenol will fix that. Overall, it's an easy procedure that will not hurt if done correctly. Good luck!
