Is "I Am" God? A person referring to oneself as “I am” means that the person is claiming to be God?
God:“I AM THAT I AM”(Ex 3:14).
Jesus:“I am”(John 8:58).
Paul:“I am what I am”(1 Cor 15:10).

Very pertinent observation. Please show me where Jesus said, "I am God". Or even, "I am I AM."
By the sort of silly reasoning of some, Sarah, Abraham, Abraham's servant, Ruth, Boaz, and Paul all said that they were God:
Sarah said she was I AM: "So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, "After I AM worn out and my master [a] is old, will I now have this pleasure?" (Gen 18:12 NIV)
Abraham also said he was I AM: " Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!"
"Here I AM," he replied. (Gen 22;1 NIV)
Rachel also said it: "She answered him, "I AM the daughter of Bethuel, the son that Milcah bore to Nahor."" (Gen. 24:24 NIV)
Even Abraham's servant said it: "So he said, "I AM Abraham's servant. " (Gen. 24:34 NIV)
Esau said it: ""I AM your son," he answered, "your firstborn, Esau."" (Gen. 27:32 NIV)
Ruth and Boaz also said it: ""I AM your servant Ruth," she said." ""Although it is true that I AM near of kin, there is a kinsman-redeemer nearer than I."" (Ruth 3:9, 12 NIV)
John the Baptist said it: ""I AM the voice of one calling in the desert, " (John 1:23 NIV)
And again, "'I AM not the Christ[a] but am sent ahead of him.'" (John 3:28 NIV)
And by that reasoning, Paul said that he was I AM over fifty times:
Romans 1;14: "I AM obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks..."
Romans 7:24: "What a wretched man I AM! "
1 Cor. 15:10: "But by the grace of God I AM what I AM"
2 Cor 12:11: "I AM become a fool in glorying" (KJ/AV)
"" "" "" : "I have made a fool of myself" (NIV) (shows that past participle, "have been", is legitimate in JW's NW Translation)
Gal. 4:11: "I AM afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain." (KJ/AV)
Do you see the point? Someone saying, "I am" as part of a sentence does not mean that they are saying that they are I AM. There are times when saying, "I am" is simply the grammatically correct thing to say.
Jesus had to say, "I am" because that was grammatically correct. He not only WAS before Abraham, but he still was in their day, so instead of saying, "I was," he rightly said, "Before Abraham was, I (still) am." Being God was not even the subject of the Jews' question.
Have some forgotten what Jesus said at John 17:1-3? There, he plainly did say that he was NOT God.
"After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 2For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. 3Now this is eternal life: that they may know YOU, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." (John 17:1-3 NIV)
Did you see it? "Father...you, the ONLY true God..." Not, "us, the only true God."
I believe Jesus. Do you?
Best regards,
Mike

a million) there is basically one genuine God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 40 5:5). 2) the daddy is the only genuine God (John 17:3; a million Corinthians 8:6). good judgment utilized to Jesus: 3) Jesus is God (Colossians 2:9; a million Timothy 3:sixteen; Isaiah 40 4:6 with Revelation a million:17-18). 4) hence, Jesus might desire to be the daddy (John 14:9; John 10:28-30) good judgment utilized to the Holy Spirit 3) The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God (a million Corinthians 2:11,13; Matthew 3:sixteen with Luke 3:22). 4) hence, the Holy Spirit might desire to be the Spirit of the daddy (Mark 13:11; Luke 12:12 with Matthew 10:20). the excellence isn't between "persons interior the Godhead," neither is it between "persons" in any respect yet between God present the two as an exact and finished individual with a special human understanding and could (Son) and as God all-powerful persevering with to exist apart from humanity with a special divine understanding and could (Father). Yes. Jesus is God. Here's strong proof that Jesus is God.
And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the Lord because of the oppressors, and He will SEND them a SAVIOR and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them - Isaiah 19:20.
Now connect that to this next one.
"I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no SAVIOR. I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, and there was no foreign god among you; therefore you are My witness," says the Lord, "that I am God." - Isaiah 43:11,12.
In the 1st Scripture it says He will send them a SAVIOR who will deliver them. In the 2nd passage of Scripture, from the same book, Isaiah, the Lord says that He is the SAVIOR and that He is God. He's the same person. He will send them a SAVIOR, and the SAVIOR is God. Plain and simple. Jesus Christ is Lord, and Jesus Christ is SAVIOR, and Jesus Christ is God. Proven here with the above OT Scripture.
Jesus said, "I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father's name, they bear witness of Me." - John 10:25.
Jesus answered them, "I and My Father are one." - John 10:30
Jesus said, "If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him." - John 10:37,38.
Jesus said, "He who has seen Me has seen the Father." (John 14:9).
Jesus answered them, "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." - John 8:36. He was talking about sin and being free from being a slave of sin.
"But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever... Therefore God, Your God, has annointed You." (Hebrews 1:8,9) This is also in the OT from Psalm 45:6,7.
Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either... - 1 John 2:22,23.
He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life - 1 John 5:12.
May God bless you.

Jesus was not the Supreme Being or our Father God and never, ever stated such. Man misinterpreted the crux of the spiritual message of Jesus and that is Christianity today. Never make the mistake of relating Christianity today to that of what Jesus taught. The Advanced Spiritual Being (Father) operating the physical human body named Jesus (Son), is what Jesus was trying to get across to his followers. In other words, we are each non-physical, immortal, spiritual beings and are not the mortal, physical, human body we operate and look at in a mirror...
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh;(physical human body) and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."(you as a non-physical, immortal, Spiritual Being).
Psalm 90:10The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. (as non-physical, immortal, spiritual beings, we each Depart the Deceased mortal, physical, human body.)
