Too young too soon to be another one gone but "Sarah" he wrote with young Mr Lynott should not be forgotten nor his Blow them away Guitar Solos on the Strat Concert. Look at your 'Rockers' for Sitamola, Little Darling and that was '76

Long live the Memory and he should stand beside Phil in Harry Street

    Sorry to hear he passed.

I hate to speak ill of the deceased, but he was always the definition of a second-stringer to me, never really living up to his early hype, and putting out a lot of dull albums that sound a lot alike. Thin Lizzy was good, but he was barely in it, and he only recorded with them well after their peak.

Skid Row was all right, in an early 70's U.K./Irish blues-rock way, but that was a very crowded field at the time, and a lot of competitors are much better remembered now.

His solo albums were eminently forgettable...

Gosh, I wish I could eulogize him better, but despite having heard and even owned several of his albums, I can barely recall a single note. Maybe I'll pick "Spirit" from "Grinding Stone", but at 17 minutes, the mind does wander a bit...
