is it possible to cross the river in cityville?

Will be great to be able to build some sort of bridge across to the other island, i suspect Zynga will have some sort of mission up its sleeve in the near future.

The only real way to really play well in Cityville is to buy yourself a guide. Trust me, I bought a guide and I got a level 60 city in like.. 25 days, had multiple skyscrapes and over 5mill coins. I mean, this is without hacks or stuff like that. Plus the guide keeps giving me free updates and it doesn't have monthly payments, just a one of payment that's really cheap.
