A cruise to the Hawaiian isles how long does it take to get from calif to Hawaii?

I will probably fly to Hawaii but just wondered how a cruise from Calif stacks up timewise.

    Cruising from California to Hawaii involves about 5 days of staring at nothing but ocean. Flying involves less than 5 hours of doing the same thing. What's to wonder about?

    I'd choose flying. There's a lot to do in Hawaii, and on a cruise you wouldn't have much time to do it. You'd spend a lot more time getting there and back than you'd spend on the islands.

    I did San Fran to Hawaii once, it took about 5 days. Very pleasant transit if you like alot of sea days.

    yea a good 5 days. I would fly LAX TO honolulu is about 4-5 HOURS. Same From (SFO) san francisco
