How can I get my man to help me more around the house?
We've been living together for 3 years. He has taken over the cooking because he enjoys it and he's a much better cook than me. I help him with the cooking as well. But apart from that, I do everything else around the house. The laundry, dishes, taking out trash, straightening up... Everything. When he sees me doing housework, he tells me that he'll be right there to help, but he never pitches in. Otherwise he tells me to come relax with him. I would love to just sit and relax with him, but things need to get done. Plus, he's quite messy, so it feels like I'm constantly picking up after him. It would be so much easier if he helped me a little every day. We both work and we get home at the same time every day.
What can I do to get him to pull his weight a little more around the house?

Just have a talk with him and explain that you are grateful that he does the cooking but that you do more of the house work and maybe you guys could talk about making a chore chart or something to split the house work up.

I can see where this is going. You are wise to be seeking a solution before this arrangement becomes permanent. He is going to try to get you to do as much as possible for as long as possible.
You can start with subtle hints like making a honey-do list with a reasonable completion date. Again, if you don't give him a timeframe, he will put it off as long as possible. Make sure he knows that if he works with you, you’ll work with him. If you are able to strike a balance there will be more free time for the two of you together or individually.

1.get an adult personal toy and explain you are not afraid to use it until he doesn more to help around the house.
2. get him to strip and wear a see through pinny to do the housework, when he is done you will reward him.
3. swap him in for a more modern model --- well you wouldnt hesitate if he was a hoover, would you ?

Do they really? Or do you simply have much higher standards of housework than him?
Dont pick up his stuff and dont do his laundry.

Have a look at ,flylady .com ,it is free and they send you daily emails ,house work becomes effortless once you start using it ,also if its 'his ' mess leave it ,he wont change if you keep doing it for him ,good luck

Tell him that you will remove one piece of clothing for each chore he completes. That will motivate him

Men are simple, just ask then he will do it.
If he doesn't then tell him " Well you have been just voluntold, so please...help me out"
