a legendary coach has left his imprint not only in Utah, but in the NBA as a whole. He put the Jazz on the map, and is the symbol of the city. He will be missed and Utah Jazz basketball will never be the same again.

I think that the Utah Jazz will do great no matter who the coach is. Coach Sloan and Coach Johnson were great guys and will be both be missed. They both will be know for all the hard work that they have done to make the team what it is. The only thing that is sad is Coach Sloan has deserved coach of the year several times and has not gotten it. Coach Corbin will have great shoes to fill but he will be a great coach.

It is sad how it happend, not that it happend. Jazz fans have know for a long time that this day would come. I think it will work out for the best. The Jazz have a great new coach, and if the move wasn't made soon, Corbin would have gotten a job offer somewhere else.
I don't blame D-Will, but I hope he stops his bitchen and starts playing.

Shocked and surprised however he had to leave sometimes don't blame the bulls for his retirement because you could blame the same team from allowing the bulls to beat them back to back season In the NBA finals at least sloan got them there let us respect what has done for the jazz they will not be the same without him.

The man is nearly 70, so I'd say he thought it was his time, and I only wish the best for him. I'm no Jazz fan, but Sloan's coaching skills are phenomenal. I have nothing but respect for him; nevertheless, I hope Utah's Tyrone Corbin coaches to the best of his abilities.

really dumb thats all I can say
and there's 2 people that got Sloan to retire
1.D-Will
and
2.Greg Miller
D-Will cause he clashed with Sloan and has never takes responsibility for himself always blames his teammate. Goof job D-Will, go pull a Lebron James in 2012, go quit on your team and hope you get your championship. Thanks for screwing over the Jazz (sarcasm)
Greg Miller because he never really liked Sloan the way Larry did. After Larry passed away you could tell him and Sloan weren't on the same page
